Puppies for Planned Parenthood: Small but Successful!
This Wednesday, Path & Paw participated in the Day Without A Woman by closing up our doggy daycare, and holding a donation-based clicker training class in the park as a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood, which has been under attack by our new administration. Our little class was held on a Wednesday in the middle of the afternoon, so we knew not everyone could make it but we are so grateful to the folks that came out! The weather was perfect, and we had a great time chatting about basic clicker mechanics, practicing hand targeting and loose leash walking, and discussing dog behavior with friends both old and new.All in all, we raised $155 for Planned Parenthood!
I also put some little goody bags for everyone that participated, which included a clicker, some treats, a tennis ball, a bandana, and a little how-to guide on contacting your representatives to oppose HR 354 and any other laws being introduced that would block access to the services Planned Parenthood provides.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support us, we are very appreciative and look forward to more opportunities to engage with our community. Now more than ever I think it's so important to support one another, stay engaged, and, of course, play with our dogs. Keep resisting and keep clicking, my friends!
